Trackball + Spinner Problem Mame 0.120
« on: April 09, 2010, 07:16:56 am »
Hi,

I am in the final stages of completing my new 4-player arcade setup, my system includes a Ultimarc U-Trak and a GrooveyGear TurboTwist spinner. Both devices are plugged into a D-Link powered USB2 Hub and are recognized by Windows XP, the cursors move when I turn them. The issue is this I am simply unable to get Mame to recognize the devices, I have checked mame.ini to ensure mouse=1 & multimouse=1, I also have trackball=mouse. Both devices are working in Hyperspin frontend and are detected in HyperHQ. My system is running Mame 0.120u2, however I have also downloaded the very latest release of Mame and when I go into the control setup for either Mame as a whole or the games settings it doesn't recognize the mouse when I try to map the control, I end up having to press escape. I also tried adding the trackball under Mess.exe which has a similar interface to Mame, I use Mess for my Atari roms and that didn't recognize them either.

Any ideas guys, i'd really like to crack this?

Cheers,

Paul
