60 in 1 Icade Install Help.....
« on: April 07, 2010, 02:55:13 am »
So I am pretty new to mame, but converted a Area 51 into a mame cabinet a few months back, it is a work in progress...  Flash forward to now...

I acquired another cab with a 19" verticle monitor (Wells Garner 19K4906).  I stripped out the wiring harness and have started a standard JAMMA harness Install.  I also purchased a 60 in 1 to try out.  I am just on the font end of this and trying to test the 60in1 to see how it functions.  I have the RGB and Ground hooked up using the clip from the old harness.   I have the Sync wire plumbed into the  H Sync spot.   But the vidoe is jacked, no identifiable video just red green and blue bars streaming across the screen..

THe monitor has positive H sync / Positive V Sync / Negative H Sync / Negative V Sync and the two negative syncs are jumpered together...

Anybody have any sage advise or wisdom to share?

Thanks,
kags

Try the H and V jumpered together to the sync pin.   Don't know if you need pos or neg for your monitor but since neg was already jumpered try it first.

Should always be on the Negative Sync pins, either with just the Negative H Sync or jumpered for both Negative H and V Sync.

You may need to adjust the monitor itself. Arcade monitors aren't plug and play for everything. So try adjusting the Horizontal Hold and such. (maybe Vertical hold, but usually just Horizontal)

So...what did you hollow out to make a multicade?  Please say "it was already converted, SirPeale!"

Also make sure the dip switch on your 60 in 1 is set to arcade monitor not vga.
