Loved the original gameboy color game.
Not so crazy about digital download.
I'll have to go buy some contraption
to get wi-fi in the house, but that's my problem.

Sadly, I never played the original, but I've read that it's a hidden gem on the GBA.

Thought I'd bring this thread back up since the game has finally been released.  Currently it has a 92 on Metacritic, which is pretty awesome.

Small world, eh? I've known virt for years.. I remember him talking about doing sound effects for some GBA game a while back and, being unsatisfied with various synth methods, just made the sounds with his mouth and then bitcrushed them.

Thats for the original Game Boy Color game.  It was released after the Game Boy Advance came out, so even though it was a great game, it sold horribly.  Because of that, very few copies are available, which caused the price of the game to sky rocket.

The new Shantae: Risky's Revenge is a download only game on the DSi.  This is why I was so shocked it won Game of the Year.  I was hoping it would win a download game of the year award, but getting Best DS Game of the Year is just awesome.
