The girl with the dragon tattoo

Saw this today. Very good movie. Not much i can say except that about the only thing that stops it being a 5/5 is that it seemed quite long- a few sections dragged just a tad. But well worth it.

If you want to see it, bear in mind there are some confrontingly violent scenes, and I'm not talking 'Hollywood war film' violent.

A very enjoyable whodunnit. PBJ will be able to figure it out from the trailers, for the rest of us, the joy is in the viewing  ;)

4.5/5

Quote
my score for recent movies you may have seen:

5/5 - Michael Clayton, In Bruges, Gran Torino, Mary and Max

4.5/5 - Taken, Iron Man, Reign Over Me

4/5 - Traitor, Bedtime Stories, Sunshine, pineapple express

3.5/5 - 300, Max Payne, You dont mess with the Zohan, Yes Man

3/5 - That new Indiana Jones flick, Disturbia, That new TMNT flick,

2.5/5 - Angels and Demons

2/5 - The Love Guru. Note: My 2 is probably someone elses 1. Just leaving room for worse!

I saw it about a week ago and thought it was pretty good. I'd maybe give it 4/5.

And yes some of the sex and violence was genuinely shocking. I thought I'd become totally desensitised to on screen violence. But it appears I was wrong.

In places it felt a bit like a made for TV production, basically an extended episode of Wallander (not that there's anything wrong with that). I think that's possibly why the sex and violence was so shocking, you just don't see it coming.

This is one of my favorite book series.  So far it has not come close to my home town and will probably have to wait for the DVD.  I am glad to hear to the reviews are mostly positive.

Funny you say that. I got that feeling every now and then too, but forgot about it when posting here...
