ArcadeVGA setup problem
« on: April 03, 2010, 01:19:58 pm »
I recently picked up a Jpac and ArcadeVGA.  I boot into windows, install the drivers (using the dvi connected to an lcd monitor).  When I reset however the DVI port no longer functions and the VGA port is outputing a signal with a resolution too high for my arcade monitor and I cant connect my LCD to the VGA port since its 15 HZ.  Does anyone know how to get this set up?  Its driving me nuts!

Wait...
The VGA port's output is too high for your arcade screen? That shouldn't be possible on an ArcadeVGA.
If it really is, try the LCD on the VGA port as it clearly doesn't output 15kHz.

Another trick would be booting in "vga mode" (hit f8 on startup to select it).
Then install VNC or any other remote control tool so the next time something like this happens you can "see" what is happening from another computer.
I do all that stuff even without a Joystick ;)
