The article says "the shiny paint makes it a target for thieves".  :dizzy: How so? Why would a thief want to steal a one of a kind vehicle that everyone and their grandmas would notice and remember seeing ??

NO MORE!!

Thats why in the USA, the Ford Taurus and Ford Explorer were the top stolen vehicles for years because they were everywhere! But criminals are stupid anyway and someone would try to steal it if they knew they'd get a hefty street price for it!

Someone stole a trailer from a local business/race shop. They found the trailer opened, in the middle of a field three days later with an indycar showcar inside (not a true race ready car, just the shell for show).

Kinda hard to pawn an indycar without anyone taking notice I guess...

Hmm, that reminds me of the scene is SinCity where the two idiots stole a sports car to be used to haul dead bodies... Very visible and trunk-less to boot.

Because it's shiny. And also for street cred. A lot of joy riders in Pommie land...
