Really really really good.  Go see it, in 3D if possible.

I really enjoyed it.

-spoiler somewhat-

Predictable plot, though I didn't expect what happened to the kid in the end, but aside from that thoroughly enjoyable. The character of the dragon that they brought out was extremely well done. EAT YOUR FISH!

Favorite line:

Thank you for nothing, you useless reptile.

Nonspoiler response to stuff hidden in Saint's spoiler.  Agreed that it was rather formulaic.  But the formula was executed so well, with so much affection and such likable characters that you can't help but sort of fall in love with it.  And when it comes to capturing the magic and thrill of riding a dragon, James Cameron could learn a thing or two from this movie  :)

edit: By the way, I can't decide whether I think the title is brilliant or possibly the most uninspired title ever.   :)

At this point in my life I have determined that I can always tell how good a film is if I simply look at the cast, the director, the producer and the trailer.

I haven't seen this oen yet, but my un-failable formula says it's going to be awesome.  And yes, I do watch "kids" films.  Anymore they are the only ones with fun and original ideas in them.
