hyperspin...why do roms have (u) (e) etc after title???

i know it means region like europe usa etc but how do i merge all the same names together  so i dont have like 10 titles of same game in mame? also in the nintendo ,super nintendo,  and sega are there parent roms? or do i just need my region for it to work? or can i merge all the same title names together ????? im so lost ..... i can get them to work from the emulator but when i use a frontend then pick emulator then game in hyperspin it cant find game..  wish there was video for all this . any help with be great thanks in advance.

Because we use the No-Intro rom naming convention.  Just download the dat from http://hyperlist.hyperspin-fe.com and run the dat and your roms through CLRMAMEPRO. 

Check the documents section on the HyperSpin site for all kinds of tutorials and videos.  We have more and more tutorials and videos being released on a regular basis.

thanks , this was driving me nuts having a bunch of the same game listed. im going to try this today and hopeful this works. by the way on clrmamepro do i need to merge sets or split i would think merge but i dunno im new to all this .but thanks so much for the reply going to look into it now!

ok so now im lost i use clrmamepro and followed the steps and got the dat for super nintendo  but it gave me error found an incomplete datfile or bad exe-output what am i doing wrong? do i need the dat and the xml file?

They are not the same game. They are regional versions of the same game. In some cases, they are a bit different, for example dkong vs dkongj. Look up MAWS for more understanding.
