Still conducting research on arcades
« on: March 18, 2010, 05:41:27 pm »
Hey everybody, I am still doing research for the University of Southern Mississippi on Arcade Culture from 1979 to 1986.  If anyone is willing to answer some survey questions, it would really help bring arcades the cultural analysis they deserve http://bit.ly/2jc6ZR.

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Wow, when's this thing due??  ;)

I read through it, but didn't find the questions 'right'.

For example;  "Did you compete with your friends for high scores".  My answer would be 'No'.  But, that doesn't mean we didn't all try for high scores.  My friends and I usually played different games.  No one wanted to wait 20-30 minutes for their turn when they might only have an hour or two to play.

So the answer is no, you didn't compete against each other. What's the problem with the question?

Wait, is the form the same as last time, or was it at least revised after our feedback? If we fill it out again, won't it skew the results?
NO MORE!!

Looks like the same one. Sounds like he's trying to get more replies.
