I saw that. They've done a couple (KISS and something that was in pieces...) pins as well and always get told that they will "easily" fetch like 3 grand shopped. :laugh2:

$175 non working and then they paid about $350 (can't remember the exact number) to get it repaired.

Noob question : What does "shopped" mean in this context?  I assume a complete repair, is that correct?

Pawn Stars is about as FAKE as it comes.  Look up the Coke machine they "bought" and "sold".  It's all "for TV".  How many Pawn Shops do you think that take antique propellars?  Civil War era guns,  etc?  It's all for show.

In this context, yes. A professional took the games and fixed them up mechanically, electronically, and cosmetically. They are supposed to work as they did or as close as possible to the day they left the original manufacturer.

They spent $350 getting a guy to "restore" it, which included getting it working, replacing the monitor and putting a brand new underlay and new glass. Not bad. However, the guy then says they could "easily" sell it for $1200 or more. HA!

@Frizz: YAH! I just saw the coke machine episode. What kind of bullshoot was that?! Haven't they heard of Tivo? I was rewinding and comparing the details. There is NO way the guy "banged it out" and ended up with that restored machine. What a joke that was. Some how he was able to magically shrink and change the embossed (stamped?) logo and lettering.
NO MORE!!

They are two different manufacturers and two different years as well.  It's all for show...
