The men who stare at goats
« on: March 12, 2010, 06:35:12 am »

Someone told me they didn't like this movie. naturally that meant i had to go and see it! I really enjoyed it. George Clooney is great as usual. Jeff Bridges is ok, as is Kevin Spacey. Two main things that take the edge off this for me is Ewin Mcgregor. I cringe anytime he does an american accent. I could do a better accent, and i'm crap at doing accents. The only other thing was that the first half or so really moved along, after that the momentum dropped a little. Maybe the novelty of the whole story was wearing off. Still, I give it 4/5 (",)

Quote
my score for recent movies you may have seen:

5/5 - Michael Clayton, In Bruges, Gran Torino, Mary and Max

4.5/5 - Taken, Iron Man, Reign Over Me

4/5 - Traitor, Bedtime Stories, Sunshine, pineapple express

3.5/5 - 300, Max Payne, You dont mess with the Zohan, Yes Man

3/5 - That new Indiana Jones flick, Disturbia, That new TMNT flick,

2.5/5 - Angels and Demons

2/5 - The Love Guru. Note: My 2 is probably someone elses 1. Just leaving room for worse!

4/5?  Are you nuts?  This movie was a terrible mess.  This review kind of shocks me because you're usually pretty close to the mark.

1/5 in our household.

Well then, between us it's perfect!  ;D

4/5 is really generous...

all this movie has to offer are big name actors thats it. everything else pretty much fails. I wasnt surprised or anything tho. I didnt expect much from random-ass nobody director. this would have been like 10x better if cohen bros were involved.

3/5 from me.

Only 10x? The Coen Bros are better than that.
