Basic jukebox
« on: March 09, 2010, 05:56:25 am »
I'm cosidering the idea of adding a jukebox for my MaLa frontend. I could load it as selecting it as a normal rom, or maybe launching it with one of the buttons in my control panel. That would not be a problem. I'd like you to recommend me a good one. I only need basic functions: a list of the songs and the possibility of selecting and playing them using my control panel. It should play CDs by default, but should also feature a browse option for selecting mp3s from a drive. I would also like that the appearance of this jukebox is customizable and doesn't show any windows-like screens. If it could be displayed in low res that would make it perfect.

You might have a problem with the playing CD issue...I was thinking "Winamp?" but I dont know if it will operate from your CP...

daywane uses arcade jukebox...I use SK jukebox...
Its simple and they act just like a jukeboxes...
I usually rip my CDs and throw them in the music folder and leave it...

If you are DEAD serious about having to play CDs...you might have to rig something...
I recently took an old home theatre unit and tied it into my cab...I can eventually hook up a stereo unit ( with cd player) if i want...but seriously...it just easier and more comfort by sticking with the jukebox program...
