Good place to get bar stools?
« on: March 05, 2010, 03:36:06 pm »
Anyone know of a good place to get bar stools, or have a recommendation for a good bar stool?  I am trying to find a good solution so I don't break my back or the bank.

Depends on where you live. I bought my stools for my old house at a pool table place, they were basic black and chrome with no back...about $55 each. I recently bought 6 new ones at Garden Ridge Pottery. They are black metal and wood swivel stools with a back. They ran about $125 each. If price is no object, Aminis has a good selection, and $30,000 pool tables. Like I said, it depends on where you live. But I would strongly advise against ordering them online or from anywhere else without actually seeing (and sitting on) one in person. The quality varies wildly.
You probably remember me from such films as `The Revenge of Abe Lincoln' and `The Wackiest Covered Wagon in the West'

A bar?

Though they might frown on that...

Big Lots.  They regularly have "shop stools" for around 30 bucks.  They look short, but generally they are on a pnuematic ram that gets them up to around 3 feet, which is perfect for most arcade machines.
