Williams Pinball HOF for 360 price drop
« on: March 01, 2010, 01:39:54 am »
I bought this game for the wii a while back for $19.99. I wanted to buy the 360 version as well when it was released, but it was $39.99. I went to walmart last night, and the price has dropped to $19.99. :)

I think the 360 version looks a little better, and there are 2 new tables compared to the wii version. I don't imagine I will play the wii version much anymore, although I do like the controller better. It is nice to be able to have your hands spaced farther apart like on a real pin.

Anyone know if the Wii version is better than the PS2, for any reason?

Wii version is better than PS2. I have both. It plays better, looks better, and has more tables.

and the PS3/360 version is better then that. Also, only the gottlieb collection is available on the wii (for now?)

Obviously, but that wasn't the question.

Gottlieb already came out on Gamecube, PS2, and I think PSP. The Wii version is pretty much a straight port and, like all versions, is terrible.

True but we both know the next question was about if the PS3 and 360 versions were better :) . Also, Ive played both and I cant tell the difference other then the trophies being easier to get then the Achievements. Im 100% sure I'll never 1k the game because Im pretty sure I can never complete taking over the kingdom in Medieval Madness.

That saddens me, I was hoping it was on par with the williams game. maybe I'll just peg leg the gottlieb for Wii and see just how bad it is.

THREE new tables actually.

Gottlieb already came out on Gamecube, PS2, and I think PSP.

AND Xbox1.  That game got around.  Too bad it's table collection was pretty poor.

This was sort of addressed in the first post.

Good luck. I couldn't find it on any torrent sites (I'm sure it's out there, but I couldn't find it.)

I meant then each other (PS3 vs 360) I digress. I found it on a newsgroup so I guess if its as bad as you say, it explains the lack of a PS3/360 port

Just to give you an idea of the Wii versions of Williams and Gottlieb, have a look at the activity of their message boards over at GameFAQs.

Your wife sounds..... nice.

It's the only system that's part hers, so she gets a say in it. It was a condition of us getting it in the first place. I obviously broke my promise, but later felt bad and deleted all of the games off the hard drive.

I do run homebrew, though. ScummVM with a Wiimote! ;D

I'm severely pissed that this hasn't had a PAL release.  WPHOF is pretty much all I play on my PSP.

I was really looking forward to trying out the new tables and playing it on the big screen  :(

Thanks for the heads up. I picked it up at Gamestop for $10 after reading this thread.

Well, I guess I overpaid then.  :banghead:

I am just glad I didn't buy it for $40.

Honestly, though, it's one of those games that's worth that much.

Great game.

I got it for $30 when it was released and I love this game, my current favorite pick up and play game.  Well worth the price.  Hope to hear about some DLC soon.

Finally picked this up (used) for $4.99! I don't even have a 360 yet, but I couldn't pass the game up for that. It was a game I definitely planned on buying, and it's getting harder to find. I can't wait to play this in 1080p! ;D
