dreamcast in an nes... value?
« on: February 25, 2010, 02:52:46 pm »
It's been a while since I have been around. (my centipede cab: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=21390.0)

Anyway... a while ago I built one of those Dreamcast stuffed inside of an NES (like this but without the VMU on the front: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=32940.0;all)

I just bought an old EM pinball machine (Gottlieb Big Indian) that I have been working on and in the brainstorming of how I could come up with more money to put into it, I thought I could make a few of these NES/Dreamcast machines and sell them on Craigslist.

I know that the work put into a MAME cab rarely comes back when selling, but these units are pretty straight forward and I think most people have room for an NES in their house.

Any ideas what I might be able to get for one?  Thanks.

I don't really know.  In this economy anything custom like that would need to see a demand for them.  On Craiglist doubtful, more like Ebay.

It implies that the Dreamcast is ugly.  It isn't really and I would be hesitant to create one where you could go for a ITX and have much more titles to choose from for less cost.

Make one and trial it.  :dunno
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.
