Burning ISOs in Windows 7 - option in explorer disappeared
« on: February 23, 2010, 04:05:22 am »
As many of you probably know, Windows finally has native ISO burning capabilities.  Just right-click an ISO file in Explorer and click "Burn ISO to disk" or something like that.  Windows 7 does not, however, have built-in ISO mounting capabilities.  Recently I needed to mount an ISO, so I downloaded and installed Virtual CloneDrive, which works really well.  Unfortunately, Virtual CloneDrive seems to have replaced the built-in ISO burning option when I right-click a file in explorer, and Virtual CloneDrive has no burning options.  I need to burn an ISO to disc.  Does anyone know where I can find the app in Windows, and perhaps how to add it back into my Explorer right-click menu?

I'm not 100% sure on this, but if go into Control Panel ->Programs and Features -> Turn Windows Features On or Off, there are DVD Maker options under the Media Features folder.

Hmm . . . good idea, but the DVD Maker option is already turned on.  I turned it off and back on, but to no avail.

I'm retarded.  I right-clicked and clicked Open With and Windows Disc Image Burner is right there.  Burning the disc now.   ;D
