Arcade monitor color problem

My arcade monitor recently started giving me problems.  There is about a 2"x2" area of the screen (slightly to the left of the middle) where colors appear dull and washed out (red looks more magenta, yellow looks very dull, etc).  The rest of the screen is perfectly fine (no lines, waves, corner colors are fine, etc).  The game board I'm using has had problems in the past but I'm not sure if its the board or possibly harness that could be causing this.  The issue just started this morning and its driving me nuts!  Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?  If it helps, the monitor is a Pentranic a63pnt13x (which I can find very little info on).

Sounds like a gaussing issue.  Try degaussing it.

you won't find any info on that model number you stated as its the crt tube model number,you need to look on the actual monitor board for its model number

try rotating your cab 45 or 90 degrees to see what happens

Thanks for the info on the model number.  I tried rotating the cab and the problem doesn't change.  I dont think it needs to be degaused as the color isn't changing so much as fading and looking dull in the affected area (just doesnt look as vibrant).  The color it seems to affect the most is red.  Yellow appears slightly different.  Other colors seem fine but that could be my eyes.  I'm going to order a degaussing wand and try that as well but are there any other problems it could be?

It was tough to get the color variance to show up in photographs and the in game ones were just too blurry.  This is the closest I can get to showing the problem.  Sorry for the poor picture.  I was thinking it could be a cap problem but I wasn't sure if that would affect only a small portion of the screen.  Thanks for your help by the way.

definately needs to be degaussed...

shut it off for about 30 mins and then turn it on for 30 seconds....repeat until it is no longer there.

Turning the machine on and off didn't do the trick so I bought a degaussing coil and the problem is solved thanks for the help guys!
