actually you can set it to dispense tokens instead of tickets.. lol ya i play the first one i tried setting up the 2nd one but it just says "contact operator, out of tokens" when ever you win.. and i can't figure out how to clear it..
i assume there must be some sort of sensor on the real machine but could'nt find the input that handled it.
this thread got me thinking that would be a cool little unit to build i even spent 20 minutes thinking how i could build my own hopper and token dispenser, the game (1st one at least) is emulated quite well and is pretty fast.. i bet a little pentium 200 or maybe a low pentium 2 would run it just fine with passive cooling.
not that it would be a priority since i have'nt even got my 1st mame cab done but the outputs would be the problem.
i even thought it might be cool to add flashing lights.. im not sure what the real original unit looked like i never seen either 1st or 2nd lotto fun at a location.
you should give it another shot.. try the 1st one.. there is actually some skill involved you can control the door that sucks in the balls, although.. ya it's 80% luck.
granted without hearing bells, or jingle jingle from winning it does grow old quickly in mame but it's definitely one of the better gambling games i've ran across (imo).
thanks for the link and text file, it'll give me something ot read.. i know at some point in the far distant future i would love ot have a 2 or 3 player positional gun cab and terminator just would'nt be terminator without the clicky clicky of the guns, even thought it wont do me any good right now it would be nice to know if it's at least possible for the future.
EDIT: hmm that text file says lotto fun only had 1 led output, nothing else that does'nt make any sense though how would it trigger ticket or token dispenser?
