I was looking for a quick project to keep myself busy while my Exidy 440 kit is in transit, so I decided to pull and cap the monitor from my JAMMA bartop (it's been doing a mild hula for quite a while now, but i've been too lazy to take it apart enough to pull the chassis.
I looked to Bob's Monitor ID page to find that, surprise, surprise, this chassis is listed as unidentified.

OK, so I grab my magnifier and make a list of all of the caps ... all 40! of them.
I don't think that I've ever worked on a monitor with that many electrolytics. And there are a bunch that I don't have in my stock (a mess of 315V 2.2u and 3.3u, as well as a bigass 200V 820u and 1000V .068Ku), so I'll be hitting DigiKey.com tonight, which puts things off for a couple of days.
I am no longer looking forward to capping this bastard, but I'll be damned if I am going to put it back without all new caps (they're pretty well baked -- chassis was mounted upside down on the top of the cabinet).
EDIT: To top it off, the solder side was completely (!!!) covered in flux -- sticky and, very, very, very dirty. It took me nearly an hour with rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush to get it close to clean. ugh!
