Pandora ships!

It's not like I pre-ordered one or anything, but I'm eager to see how this thing turns out...

I'm a big believer in waiting for the bugs to be ironed out before I dip into any new portable wonder.

Also the price will get cheaper when the units start en mass.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

Update: A community member pinged us to say that these units actually aren't final in terms of the cases they're in. They're only being sent out now to a few members so "development [can begin] on actual Pandora hardware." Sigh.

Looks like you'll be waiting a little longer.

looks cool but the KB looks like you'll need chopsticks to type and I am not to found of having the D-pad and buttons right against the screen like that.

Looks like you'll be waiting a little longer.

This is why open source hardware development rather fails.  It takes forever for open source projects to make a 'final product' and you can't patch beta hardware like you can software.

Open source hardware development is also what give us this monstrocity: http://warmouse.com/

Really . . . I find it hard to believe that the thing is going to be better than, say, a modded PSP.

For pure gaming probably not, but it can do other things as well, even if its difficult to type on.

I think the keyboard would make it more ideal for C64 and Amiga emulation, but that all depends on how well the systems are emulated.  At any rate, as SavannahLion said, it looks like it's going to be a while longer before we hear anything.

I dunno, man, I can play Pac-Man on my cell phone if I wanted to.  These niche handheld devices are coming in years too late...

We've had some guy trying to flog a Dingoo on the local craig's list for weeks without any takers.....

Heh see, I love my Dingoo, and have even considered buying a second one.

Dizzle - It runs linux, and has beefy (relative) hardware, it will have good Amiga and C64 emulation pretty much out of the box.  Hell even the Dingoo has Amiga emulation with some success, and its terrible hardware/software wise.
