The Best Cab Mame Build and STILL SUPPORTED!!!
« on: February 12, 2010, 01:24:16 pm »
Yep, that's what I'm looking for.  The Best Cab Mame Build and STILL SUPPORTED.  ;D

Recently I've started looking for different builds of Mame and what features they offer.

My research to date has yielded the following:

AdvanceMame - great candidate ... except it hasn't been updated since Mame .106.
PowerMame - another fine candidate ... except it hasn't been update since Mame .105.
Wash, rinse, & repeat

So then tried looking for a resource that would give me a list of possibilities and found a couple of sites like Zophar's domain.  Who list's the latest release date of MameUI as 3-28-09.

Long story short are there any builds / modded builds of Mame (similar to Advance Mame) that are still supported?  Are there any sites that keep current on this stuff?

thanks for any help,

Basically changes made around .106 made it impossible to do a 'proper' advance-mame like version for anything newer.  The video composition was moved to the graphic card, and the actual resolution became less important.  You're unlikely to find anything still supported.

What about MamePlus?  I tried it last night - lots of additional options.  Debating on using that vs. modified core MAME.
