Assistance improving my marquee artwork
« on: February 09, 2010, 09:43:35 pm »
Sorry, this is a re-post.  I put this in the Main forum, but it should have went here.

Anyway...

I have seen a LOT of creative marquees on here since I've been a member.   I'm sort of hoping to tap into that talent here, and ask for some help with my marquee.   I do have a lead for a design on my side art already, but I just think the marquee needs a little touching up.   My friend made the marquee for me, so I don't actually know how to do a lot of this stuff myself in Adobe Illustrator.  So I was sort of hoping there might be one, or a few people out there that might be willing to take a stab at touching this up.   First, let me explain a little bit.   My arcade machine will have a Tapper theme to it.  I've been referring to it as the Mame Tapper.   It will have a black and red color scheme to it as well (unlike the original Tapper colors).   So I guess I've sort of been trying to respect the original artwork of Tapper, while still changing it a bit to suit my own needs.   I've attached the a picture of the original marquee to give you some idea of what it originally looked like. Then I've also attached a jpg and AI file for my current marquee.  The beer might need a little work too, but I wouldn't be heart broken if that didn't change at all.

Anyway, are there any takers out there that can help me spruce this thing up?

Update:   I've also attached a picture of my prospective side art as well, just to give you an idea.  It will be the original Tapper art, but framed in a black oval, with the text from the marquee along the top.
