Daphne's Cobra Command
« on: July 25, 2003, 03:30:21 am »
Any trick in getting DK to recognize Daphne's Cobra Command?  I have most of the other Daphne roms working perfect, but for some reason cobra command just doesn't want to show up in DK's 'Daphne' game list.

I looked in my Daphne.dat file, and the name is 'cobraab'.  So I named my rom and framefile exactly the same.  This is how I've done all my other daphne roms but cobra command just does not want to show up!  Anyone else have this problem?  Or is the only reason it's not working is because I have somethig misspelled?  I've looked at it 10 times and can't figure it out.  Hmmm.  Game works great in DaphneLoader!

Thanks.

In case anyone ever has this same problem, I figured out what needs to be done to get cobra command to show up in your DK's game list.

I went into the masterlist.lst and did a search for cobraab.  I found the entry for this game, but it was not consistent with the other daphne games.  The other daphne games all had their rom's name listed twice in the entry.  Cobraab had it's rom name listed only once, and where it should have been listed again, there was 'astron' instead.  So I changed the astron to cobraab, and it now shows up in DK's game list.

I am not sure why the masterlist.lst did it this way.  I guess it used the daphne.dat file I got from clrmamepro which is an older rev than the newest daphne program.  Or the daphne.dat file just isn't fully compatible with the way DK generates it game lists.

Cobra Command runs on Astron Belt hardware... that may have something to do with it...

Report this bug to Matt Ownby, Chip, Brado426, and Warren Ondras over at daphne.rulecity.com .    They should be informed of it, and fix it in a future version of Daphne.
