K7000 Help!

Hey everyone. I have a K7000 that I just capped to try and fix a problem. It made no difference. I have a 'wavy' horizontal top edge of the monitor. If I install this same chassis and tube in my MK2, it's fine. The problem only happens in the MK1. The horizontal hold pot just moves the 'waviness' around, but does not fix it. See pics for details. It folds the bottom in on itself, but just brings the top edge down. Does not affect the problem.

Or turn the Contrast down, Brightness up ?

And bring your image size in a little while trying to situate all this. (height / width)

Doesn't matter what size of the image is, or how I adjust it, it's always the same. NO kind of adjustment I make affects it except the Horizontal Hold, but that only makes it better or worse. It does not actually fix it.

I wish I had a K7000 on the bench right now, I could show you the same exact issue. (actually recreate it and fix it)
I find it's sometimes a tricky combination of adjustments with some game boards.
Cranking on one pot and expecting a total solution won't get it.
You say the Horizontal Hold helps..... get it at it's best point, now adjust the 50/60 pot a little, turn the contrast down a little, etc, etc. 
And I always start with the image smaller than full size. An equal 1" or so black border all around.

BTW - the convergence looks off a bit on that tube, or am I not seeing that correctly ?

The convergence is indeed off, but it's as good as it's gunna get, or as good as I can get it. I am going to swap the chassis with the one in my MK2. They are both identical K7000s.

Well, I swapped the chassis with the one in my MK2. Both my MK1 and MK2 have identical tubes and chassis's. I removed the troubled one from my MK1 and installed it on the MK2's tube. Removed the MK2's chassis and installed it on the MK1's tube. Problem is now fixed. I have no idea why it happened or what the cause is, but I asked for help because I didn't want to have to do all of the actions listed above, but I couldn't see a solution. See pics below..

I guess there is something about the MK1 that the chassis didn't like. The mk2 chassis doesn't seem to mind. Sorry I wasted your time. I just thought there might be a quick fix for it. Thanks again - Mike.
