Coin door help needed!
« on: November 18, 2009, 09:13:58 pm »
Finally comming to the end of my build but there is one thing i cannot find. I'm trying to track down the coin reject bezel/button and coin return bezel and flap thingy. You can see it easier in the pic. Happ want a $50 minimum order + delivery to ireland which ain't cheap. Anywhere else i can get it cheaper? or anyone who has one that would sell ?

Checked all the product pages and can't see it anywhere there. They sell the coin doors but not the bezels etc. I could have missed it but i looked pretty hard.

Send [divemaster127] a PM. He carrys 99% of Happs goods, has no minimum order value and is cheaper than Happs prices to boot.

His BST thread is sticked at the top of the page if you want more info.

For detailed parts, always click on "Mounting and exploded view" on the coin doors pages:

Looks like it uses the same parts from this version..... minus the metal mounting plate.
http://www.happcontrols.com/coindoors/40002300p_exploded.htm

Search each individual part number in that exploded view.
I've had to do this for a few things before I could find anything on their site. (especially small individual bits)

For example - part # 42-7355-00D is listed on your coin door page, but there's no price, etc.
But if you "search" that part # you may find it listed elsewhere.
Or sometimes drop part of the part number in the search like the "00D" part, so just take that exploded view number and search "42-7355" if nothing comes up for "42-7355-00D".
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.

Right! got them items and went to install only they dont fit! these are the official happ ones I ordered from divemaster! The coin insert bezel is too small and the coin reject is far to big! This is the last thing on my cab to be finished so I won't be content until its done! One thing I noticed is that the holes are offset to the left of the door, not like the happ doors! The one Kevin mentioned has the same item number as the main happ door one!

These wont be used for anything but cosmetic look so I don't mind glueing and doing a slap up job even if the size is wrong but too small is def a problem! The coin insert hole is 52mm x 52mm and the coin reject hole is 43mm wide x 32mm high!

Anyone got any idea! Pleeeeeeeeeease!!!

I'm guessing from the fact that you haven't thought of this yourself that you aren't a keen metalwork hobbyist? If it were me I would strip the door then:

The hole thats too small I would file/cut out larger.

The hole that's too big I would hold a piece of steel plate behind the hole, use the hole as a profile to draw onto the plate with a scribe the exact size of a blank to fill it, cut out and weld in the blank then re-cut a new hole of the exact size required.

Grit blast/prep the door and powder coat to the desired colour.
