(Batch) Normalize AVI and MPEG files?
« on: March 25, 2009, 01:27:50 am »
I use the SK Jukebox software with a project I´m working on.

One huge problem is that the volume shifts between different songs.

The MP3 ones were easily leveled with the excellent buddy MP3Gain. But the AVI and MPEG files present a harder to solve issue...

I can of course load every one into SoundForge or similar software, and try to listen for a normal level. The problem is I have thousands of files waiting... and this will take an estimated lifetime to do manually.

Any suggestions? Please help!  :)

:)   Download FFDShow decoder works very well with windows media player, winamp and also with virtual music jukebox, all you need to configure it well and you level the volume real-time MPEG and AVI, http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net /

There is a video version of mp3gain. I think it's called avigain, you could try that.
