quick question about Mortal Kombat-type games

I'm making my first player1-vs.-player2 control panel.

Am I correct in assuming P1 controls are always on the left and P2's on the right?

yes. player one starts on the left, so I guess that's why

thats pretty much every game with a multiple player set up, player one on left, player 2 on the right

Thanks, Malenko. I've never played these games before and I want them all to work on the first try. I was hoping they all were set up the same way.

peep out www.klov.com its a giant database of arcade games, shows pictures of the games, cabinets, controls panels, marquees etc

I had a good friend who had a Wizard of Wor machine in his basement (~1982 or so).  We'd play that for hours.  I still think of P1 on the right and P2 on the left because of playing so much on it.

Or two... Track & Field also has Player 1 on the right.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Thanks everyone! I already have another panel for Wizard of War, and a dedicated panel for Track and Field!
