If you want to use the LCD, stop trying to put arcade cards on it. Have you ever tried using Windows on a CRT TV? The Hz are all off and its a blurry nightmare. Thats what aVGA is for.
As for cards, it depends of what games you want to play. Youre gonna want something big-ish if youre playing some fast 3d fighters, Id guess at least a nVidia 6xxx. If youre playing Galaga you can get by with the cheapest thing that fits your mobo.
And not to argue with NOP, but I think LCDs are nice. Theyre very friendly on PCs. Im using a 20" Samsung in a vertical cab. No problems. The native resolution is up there, 1600x1200 or something, but it displays all games nicely. Havent had a problem with it yet, other than its a TN.
And since its vertical-only, Im playing the oldies on a 9-bulged-capacitor nVidia 4200ti, if that gives you some reference.
