it is to be connected between the filament winding on the flyback and the fil on the crt.
the original winding is gnd referenced ( connected to chassis ground)
when a heater/cathode short occurs, the cathode is then at ground potential via the dc loop through the
fly.
mcm's iso- block should have installation instructions.
to wind your own secondary , loop 3-4 parallel turns of insulated #22-26 wire around the ferrite core of the fly.
disconnect the filament pins at the crt. connect one side of the new winding to a filament pin.
connect the other to a 2.2 ohm/2 watt resistor . connect the free end of the resistor to the remaining filament pin.
you will now have an ground isolated filament winding negating the short.
