looking for some Marquee feedback (12/6)
« on: November 05, 2008, 12:42:38 pm »
If anyone was inspired, I am looking for some ideas about some artwork for my version of Mountains Jukebox.

My girlfriend is a big fan of Jackie Chan, the Simpsons, and beer.  I was thinking it would be neat to scan one of her autographed items from Jackie, and perhaps a shot of Homer and Jackie fighting, or one of Jackie strangling homer like Bart or something.

There are also a signature and some Aim icons on Jackie's site...

A couple thoughts I had.

I was wondering how to take an image and make it curved.  I have Gimp, but I dont see an option for making a curve to fit the marquee area.

What about combining the two and have homer doing martial arts?

Here is a preliminary pic so I can get some feedback.  I plan to find some sort of semi busy grayish background. I'll get rid of the dimension layer , but its still in for scale.  I also did not like any of the curves I got on the banner, so I chopped it up.
