KLOV Fourm
« on: August 22, 2008, 02:36:18 pm »
Anyone know how to get on the KLOV Forums?  I am registered with KLOV, but cannot seem to get logged into the forums.  Anyone have an idea or a contact name?

Nope and nope!

Seriously, I had a heck of a time getting registered and don't remember what ended up making it work. It's been a problem for a while and I know at least a few people here who have had the same experience.

I registered back when it was a different back end (I think Bearshare or something?). IIRC, I ended up registering on a different forum for knitting or some other ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow---. Since it was all the same back end, that registeration carried over into the KLOV. I have no idea if it's still that way. I haven't really gone back very often.

It's an insane hassle, it's easier to register for an old BBS. I guess the KLOV people like it that way too.  :dunno

I had trouble with it and forget how it actually worked... took me a bunch of tries and actually had to go in through arcade-museum.com instead.

http://www.klov.com/accounts/register.php

The link is on the main KLOV page on the left side just above where the yellow frame is where the machine of the moment is located... it took me all of 20 seconds or so to find it...

It reads...

Finding the page to register isn't usually the problem. I don't remember if the page was downright missing some link or what. It's been yonkers since I registered there.

It seemed to me they were trying to support the site in part by support for the lymphoma thing.

Yep... the backend of the registration didn't work for a long, long time.  You had to work around it and find your own way in.  You could sign up through the main link 100 times and never get registered.

Hmmm...worked for me back about a year and a half.  Not sure what I did differently than going to the page that I pointed you to?

User names are case sensitive and space sensitive. I had to register as "KenLayton".

Finding the log-in or registration is challenge 1.
Now try finding a "forgot password" link.
