soo, I found out about this game a few days ago, picked it up last night, what a sweet game, riding the horse is great, the camera can be a little frustrating, but upscales really nicely on the PS3, graphics look good for a PS2 game. I'm too poor right now to buy ps3 games , so Ive been picking up some cheap used PS2 games, this one soo far is the best. The colossi, are well, HUGE, great game, awesome music score as well :)

Definately an awesome game.  I played it a year or so ago on the PS2 and it was a lot of fun.

I've played it. It's different. I got stuck at the part where you have to swim across some water to a long ramp then make a difficult jump at the top of the ramp. The camera is definitely frustrating.
Old, but not obsolete.

I played it after seeing it as part of "Reign Over Me"  it fit the theme of the movie well I thought.

Game was fun, definitely different, which I liked.

If you spot it, pick up ICO which is by the same developer. I think it plays a little slower than Colossus but I like it quite a bit. I find the environments truly relaxing (until you get outside and around the castle) after intense gaming sessions.

both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are must plays for the PS2 in my opinion.  They both tell such an amazing story and drag you into the world.  They are so much fun, and just a great gaming experience.  Wonderful games.

They're definitely not perfect, especially the camera as mentioned, but man is it fun to play through both.  I've actually gone back to play ICO 2 or 3 times already, and I've been thinking of playing some SotC again, but have a lot of newer games to go through.
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

Ico was the first game to make me want a PS2, and Shadow of the Colossus made me even happier that I owned one.

SotC is probably my favorite game ever made. Just riding around checking out the environment is awesome. Some Colossi can be very frustrating, but it's always fun and quite original.

Both games are works of art. Just about any random screenshot could be framed and hung on the wall.

Ico and SotC are the primary reasons I want a PS3 over an Xbox 360.  I never owned a PS2 and at this point assume that I never will.

I was so psyched when I got my PS3 so I could play some of those old PS2 games I never got a chance to play (I had an xbox)

SotC is one of the best games every made in my opinion, my wife was so into the game, I couldn't play unless she was there to watch!

the art direction the music the story all fit perfectly
it is one of those rare games that all other will be held up against

I bought ICO but haven't had time to play it yet I can't wait
