WTB/WTT: Looking for Centipede coin door
« on: June 01, 2003, 11:19:40 pm »
If anyone has a Centipede coin door for sale or trade, please send me a PM.   I believe the Centipede type  coin doors where used by Atari on several of the cabs.  It's meant to be a pretty common coin door among cabs, AFAIK.  :/

Thanks!

I think you're looking for an over/under?

Did you click the link?  I made the whole sentence clickable. Unfortunately, the board software strips the underline from the link, and the link color is nearly the same color as regular text.

The coin door on the cabinet, of course!  That is the type you're looking for, correct?  It's just a standard over/under.

Ah, so these ARE pretty standard.  Good deal!
I hate eBay.  Anyone have one I could use?

There's a thread in this very forum regarding some coin doors I have.  Check it out!

If you look on this page you will find that Centipede does not use an Over and Under type door.

http://www.heyneal.com/images/1centipedemachine.htm

It is still a fairly common door though.

Yup, this is the one...  not an over/under as far as I can tell...!

Do these have a specific name? I know Atari used them for various cabs, and perhaps even other manufacturers used them too.

The one referenced on that page is a 'Williams' style coin door.  The one on KLOV is an over/under.  At least, it certainly looks like an over/under.

I just looked at the doors that I have, and I have one that looks nearly identical to this one.

It's in good shape, but is missing a lot, and needs a cleaning.  I'll see if I can start work on it tonight.
