D9200 Issue

So I haven't been able to use my arcade cab in over a year because of an unresolved issue with my D9200.  I was in contact with someone from wells-gardner about a year ago trying to resolve the issue..  Basically I was told to replace the neck board.

I ordered the new part and installed it but it ended up not doing anything--same as with the original neck board installed.

I have recently moved the arcade cab up from the basement to the living room, so this is really giving me the motivation to get this fixed.  I took the arcade monitor out of the cab last weekend and took some pics of the issue I am having:

No signal Green:

So I went into the factory settings menu and noticed that blue was all the way down to 10..  I ajusted that and a few other settings a little and got all the OSD menus looking about how I remember them.  They are really bright, good color--how I think they should look.

But when I hook my laptop up, it's still the same as the last two pictures I posted (only the colors are slightly more accurate).  The image is still dim..  Looks like it has no contrast, even after I set brightness and contrast all the way up.

Bad soldering

The eeprom going bad thus not saving settings

Each 9200 was setup individually to the particular picture tube so it's a good idea to write all the settings down in the case of another loss of memory

I bought this D9200 4 years ago... Long before that thread exsisted.

In fact, the D9200 was a new model.

make sure u are "saving" the data changes.  and yes , a corrupted EEPROM is a possibility.

most electronic products will have common faults per chassis families. most of the time, being familiar with said faults makes repair relatively easy  .   unknown faults become a learning experience.
some items have an extensive fault history  ( like the RCA ctc-169 chassis )
sadly, poor solder is not an exclusive WG problem .....
and don't even get me started on that Pb free crap in the new stuff  :angry:

I ordered a couple replacement ICs today per wells-gardner..

Unfortunately, I didn't write down the settings I changed, but I have a pretty good eye and could get it close or better than it was from the factory.

Or, I know someone who has all kinds of calibration hardware/software.

You fixed a d9200...you rock!
I have a fan blowing across the boards on mine, just to try to avoid any failures that would be related to heat.  It's been running for over three years now, knock on wood.

Where did you buy those ICs?  How much did it run you?  How hard was the swap?  I too have a D9200 and the screen used to be bright, then overnite it started to have a very dark purplish tone to everything.  I've checked the settings, and everything is as they were.

iMPULSZE, check the green drive transistor.  possibly faulty, loose connections etc.....
