Front-end setup database?
« on: February 28, 2008, 10:26:44 am »
OK, so the control panel database sticky thread is great. But is there one somewhere, or can we start one for people to post pics/videos/layouts of their front ends? I have seen so many vids and pics of sweet frontends running on people's cabs, but it would be nice to have them in one place to get ideas and tips from.

Thanks!
Rob

There is always the wiki if you are looking for a front-end.

As far as a thread goes ... start one up and see what happens (and if it does happen here, a mod can remove my post).
Working: Not Enough

I intepreted this request as wanting to start a thread where people can place all of there frontend add-ons .... such as videos, layout files, etc....

I did not think they were asking for recommendations on a frontend ...... just my intepretation I guess.

Yeah I think he's saying create a thread like the "Control Panel Database" thread but with screenshots and videos of the skins/themes people use in their cabs.

It would be nice to see some snaps of peoples front ends, just for ideas. Although, there are tonnes of this already out there.

Maybe this thread can be dual purpose:

IE Snaps of front ends that others have made, plus a run down on the usability and functionality of the various FE programs...

For me, I think I have solidified on AtomicFE, as it seems to actually work well (read: properly) in vista. Also, the layout editor in it is very easy to use (in respect to other FE layout editors).

I am a former MALA supporter, but it doesnt like VISTA so much. (I wont be using VISTA on the MAME machine, but will be setting up the frontend on a VISTA machine, so I need full compat for that)
--- Yes I AM doing this on purpose, and yes I DO realize it is pissing you off.
