the beast is gone :-(
« on: February 02, 2008, 02:23:15 am »

sold it to a guy for 500 bucks. ive owned it about 15 years and couldnt bear to part with it. but it hasnt been registered for about 5 and since i moved its just sat at my house. the house i own with my sister, she was getting a bit tired of it just sitting there. the dude that bought it is using it for a drag car, so out comes the ol 6 cylinder and in goes a big block, hopefully a chevy. these cars weighed about 1040kg so its gonna move! ive asked him to send a few pics when hes doing stuff to it, so hopefully that comes through.

My condolences. Sometimes it's hard to let them go even if they've been sitting forever and don't seem worth using, I've parted with a few like that myself.

I sat on the front steps staring at the driveway for over an hour when I had to sell my white convertible Ford EXP.  That one hadn't been sitting long at all, I just couldn't afford to fix it when the head gasket popped, couldn't afford car insurance at the time anyway, and had no place to store it.  Had I tried to fix/keep it I would have ended up living in it.  Man I loved that car.

I feel your pain, bro.  I even tried to track down my car a few years later only to find out that some dumb chick ended up with it and totaled it within two weeks.
