Hantarex MTC 9000
« on: December 16, 2007, 02:25:45 pm »
Hi all,
I have a Hantarex MTC 9000 16'' monitor that shows white lines on the right hand side. It only does it on the select game menu, both on my multi and single Jamma boards, but while playing any games it works fine and the lines are gone.

If I am at the menu screen and turn the brightness control down on TH2 they will go, but the picture would not be bright enough. I will get a cap kit anyway, but any idea of the culprit component I should be concentrating on.

Ken,  Grantspain,  anybody?

Excuse picture, was being lazy and used mobile phone

Thanks

it could be just bad adjustments of the red/green and blue pots in conjunction with too high screen volts-you may need to turn up the r,g,b backgrounds and drive and then turn down the screen volts and check the function of the contrast pot
worst case scenario is some leeky caps and if you are experiencing any jail bars resistor  check(r216 0.33r) and rv7 brightness preset could be faulty

what u are seeing is vertical retrace . this is normally blanked and not visible...

there should be a 100uF @35v cap ( c9) in the vert output that may be faulty
might also wish to check c14 (47uF@16v),c38 (1uF@63v)
there may be a minor glitch in game processing

otherwise , the drive does seem a bit high ( imo- shrug)

It almost looks like you have it adjusted too high (since you have it on a vertical orientation, this would be a height adjustment).  Try adjusting your height.
