HOTD3 and Mamewah Help needed

Having problems with HOTD3 and Mamewah.  Mamewah hangs at the game load screen. I have to reboot computer every time.  Other PC games loading fine. HOTD3 works OK when launching from Windows XP.  Also, is there any way to load HOTD3 on the hard drive instead of inserting CD every time? Thank you.
