small hole in Anode wire causing Arcing, how to fix?

HI, thanks for the tips on finding why my MEGATOUCH was MEGA-ARCING,, I pulled the ANODE off the monitor and found a small hole in the wire about an inch from the Suction cup.  Now, how do I fix this ?  I've been to all the Radio Shack's around and all they carry anymore is Electrical tape.  Is there some silicone to put over this hole or something?  The monitor is really in good shape, and the touch-screen works perfect.  I've never replaced a monitor in a megatouch before, so I'd rather just fix this small hole.  Any help ?  thanks guys.

trouble with ht it jumps,so try two methods-first try some good quality insulation tape wrapped tightly over the hole,but better secondly if you have a long enough ht lead then cut the lead where the hole is and resolder the cup there.but try the first method i think it will work and cost nothing in time or parts.

Here's the way a professional (like me) fixes that problem:

First clean the area with 99% rubbing alcohol (commonly available at large grocery & drug stores). Let dry a couple of minutes.

Glob on about a quarter inch layer of plain old clear silicone glue. Let it set for 24 hours before moving that wire again or powering up the monitor.

Problem fixed permanently!
