COLLECTOR SELLING COLLECTION!!
« on: September 01, 2005, 11:43:49 pm »
Hi folks.. I have not posted on here often but often browse here when needing some facts on machines.. I am moving in two months and want to weed out my collection a tad. I hate seeing any of these go.. and don't plan on selling all of em by no means.. Im looking maybe to sell off a third and Ill take the rest. I am not looking to give these away so if you are deal hunting you may want to stick to ebay.. but I have sold several machines locally and never have any compaints. Most machines are in very good, recently shoped condition. I figured it best just to post a list of what I have,, If you live anywere close by, give me a call and feel free to stop by and see what I have and play some games.. even if you are not looking to buy,, and you live close enough to just stop by,, feel free to give me a call;) I hate seeing my collection broke up.. I was planning on possibly opening a classic arcade.. but for now most of these are going to end up in storage.. here is my list.. my phone # is 219-324-3855  feel free to call most anytime up till 12 midnight Chicago time. tnks, Jeff

Jungle HUnt - Has a real nice original control panel, near mint, glass is a solid 8-9 with just a little 'cracking' in the paint toward the top. Glass has been clear coated to prevent further deterioration. Power supply updated to a switching supply, cab is a '7' but way above average for what you normally see. Game plays 100%! That includes all sounds! Marquee is a '8'.

Berzerk - Works 100%! New control panel overlay (vinyl), clean bright monitor but does have screen burn. Nice Marque, cab looks real nice.. Bezel shows flacking but still looks good.

Frenzy - RARE.. cab is a solid '9', near mint. Monitor is original and looks killer, very little burn. SUPER clean inside, like new. Control Panel looks horible, was going to replace soon, also the marque is 'fair' but still presentable. The Bezel looks great except for some pealing were the tape held the insturction set on (common prob).  Overall a very rare, nice game.

EYES - Looks great from the front,, could use work on the sides. Complete, looks great. Monitor showing signs of wear but currently looks good. I can let this one go pretty cheap. A eprom change can convert this to pac man.

Punchout - VERY NICE! Monitors look great.. Recent cap kits, original cpo looks awsome. No cab damage, nice and clean inside.. hardly touched. Power supply has been converted to a swither.. but was done 'cleanly'. The only thing wrong is the sideart is trashed,, common.. but the rest of it looks great! Works 100!

Crystal Castles - In a Kangaroo cab. The 'Kanga' cab and artwork look awsome for orignal. I was going to convert it back. I have a Kangaro board I can throw in. The conversion kit was the actual ATari conversion kit so it looks very clean. Nice track ball,, game works 100% Monitor a tad old but colors still look great. This can go fairly cheap

Bubbles - Near Perfect!! Probably the nicest one you will ever see.. all original.. very nice original cpo. Bezel is PERFECT,, not the slightest flake. Marque, PERFECT! Game is all original,, could use a cab kit but not totally neccessary,, looks and works 100!. The only 'bad' is the cab on the back of the sides is scratched up.. but overall the artwork is a solid 8-9!

Outrun - Works 100! Recent monitor cap kit and pic tube installed. Overall a solid '8' or better in condtion. Force feedback works great;)

Tempest - Fresh monitor rebuild. Works 100%! could use a cpo, tore up on the edge, marque tore on the top upper right,, not easily  noticeable. Side art is very nice for original, I would deffinetly not replace it. I love this game.. I will install 'tubes' on it before it goes (will be 'switchable' between regular and tubes via toggle switch)

Black Widow - In one of the Gravitor cabs.. not a conversion,, #'s match,, early black widow in grav cab, art looks AWSOME, cab has seen humidity,, not toasted, still looks good, but can notice swelling on very close inspection. Overal, still very nice,, could use a neve cpo, tore up on edges. Monitor recently rebuilt. Works 100%

Star Wars - Probably the most perfect game you ever saw.. near mint, showing only 22K plays. I bought this off original owner.. needs nothing.. near perfect artwork thruout the whole game.. Rebuilt monitor, wells gardner,, MINT!

Asteroids Deluxe - Very clean, freshly shopped,, detailed inside and out.. looks awsome and plays 100% Artwork looks REAL nice, one corner damaged (3x3 inch area). These can be upgraded to play both Asteroids and Asterids Deluxe.. this is a great example of this game and wont disappoint.

Asteroids - A near perfect, all original Asteroids. Some were on the original painted control pannel but not bad. Over all a very clean, presentable, all original Asteroids. Works 100%

BattleZone - Front and one side look awsome,, a pair of 4 foot x quarter inch scratches on the other side. Not as bad as you would think,, but if it wasnt for the scratches, this would be near new in cleanlyness. Game plays but intensity 'pulsates' in brightness. The prob is in the boards 'Z' circuit (intensity circuit) I was going to work on this more when I had the time but may let it go like this. Handles and CPO look awsome and are original. Workks fine besides the prob I mentioned.

Tailgunner 2 - Cosmetically very very very nice for a game this old. I have a brand new, never installe picture tube for this game. I also have 3 boardsets for this game. I have not looked at this but I believe I have enough pieces to get it up and going.. I also have 3 Monitor chassis for this.. pleanty of parts. 2 power supplies as well. This was one of those projects I have kept putting off for it is somthing for 'real' collectors. Rare, Rare!

Space Invaders Deluxe Cocktail - Works 100% but could use cap kit (top 1/4 inch 'waves' after about hour of use) Very nice condition cosmetically. Setup for tokens,, comes with tokens. Taito version.

Crazy Climber Cocktail - Works 100%, all original.. looks real nice

Eagle - 25 inch monitor!  This is a original, early production eagle with the 25" monitor. Game plays blind, monitor blowing fuses, not sure whats wrong.. I think a  bad transitor. Cosmetically fair, this is a rare version of this game.. This is the first game to use a 25" color monitor!

2 Galaxians - Both work great, one has recent rebuilt monitor, nice cpo, excellent black paint on control panel and inside viewing pod. New pinstripe, overall very nice. Normal 'galaxian' sideart and front art wear.
Other is a tad rougher all the way around,, fair monitor.. plays 100% and is still very reliable and looks decent.. not a eyesore!

Qbert - Works 100% New cap kit, new side art, new cpo, new bezel, very nice original marque, all black paint professionally repainted,, Powersupply rebuilt and updated, sound board rebuilt and updated with newer, common supply sound amp. Very, very nice!

Looping - Project, comes with two boardsets that both work with the exception of sound. Missing monitor. Original artwork and cab is in VERY nice shape.. a solid '9' cosmetically.

Mario Bros - Recently rebuilt monitor, needs art and cpo,, besides that it looks and works 100%

Donkey Kong - Nice Overal all original condition, side art tore up, cpo looks very nice for original,, marq is very nice, overall a clean machine,, some cab damage on the back.. not bad.. works 100%

Super Buggy - Cosmetically good on the sides, rough on the front.. works great! rare. First scrolling game!

I will post some pics very soon and try to get some of my customers to 'put in a good word' for me;) Once again,, if you would like to stop by and see the collection, just give me a call at 219-324-3855. If you are interested in buying, make an offer,, Im just looking for fair market, but Im not 'ebay' discouniting these either,, what sells sells,, Most the quality of these macines is top notch.. tnks;)

If this is the same Povlok who posts on AtariAge, I can vouch for him being a good seller.

You have a lot of nifty stuff there, good luck selling, sorry you have to urn loose of it.

Hey Stingray,, longtime;) Yupper, I've been lying low these last few months.. been closing up the deal on moving south, took longer than exspected. Yapper,, sucks to sell anything off:) The house I am moving to is only 940 square foot! no room for an arcade ATM, look for me to return to rebuilding and modifing Atari's in the near future, I don't need a ton of room to work on consoles so I will be going back to that primarily. I imagine I will even show face back at the 'atariage' in time;) good seeing you and thanks for the good reference :)

Same Povlok then. I've bought an item or three from him in the past and never gotten anything but stellar service. If I were anywhere near your neck of the woods I'd be severly tempted by many of the items you have listed. Once again, good luck with the sale & the move.

Don't buy from him, he's a terrible seller!  Once about sixty years ago I went to buy a KOF2008 cabinet from him, so I showed up at his house, and it was on the front lawn.  I handed him $3000 cash (so worth it for this fabulous game) and he clocked me over the head.  As I lay there in a stupor, he got a gas can out, doused the cabinet, and lit it on fire!  He then danced around the cab, singing Danish Christmas songs, wearing nothing but rubber waders.

I passed out.  When I came to it was a week later and I was buried alive.  I had to tunnel out using nothing but my nose.
