JVL RETRO password issues
« on: September 08, 2019, 03:14:52 pm »
hello i am having issues trying to find or remove the password from my JVL retro !touch 10 plus. i have tried all i know and that includes basic passwords 1234 and such. i removed both batteries, updated software with no luck. i have held the reset button while booting and it just boots into the game like normal still asking for a password if i try to get into setting. the game plays great i just wish i could get into the setting to free play it and turn the volume up a notch. any ideas?

So, when you say software update, did you wipe the CF card and install from a external cd/dvd drive? Because a software update will keep existing settings. And im guessing when you held the setup button in during boot you did a factory reset?

it wasnt a wipe it was just an update from a thumb drive. when i held the setup button while rebooting it did nothing it just went into the game like it normally does. i didnt get a prompt to do anything.

You need to wipe the CF card and start fresh.

Is that only done with a CD and a new button?

Thats strange. Never seen the date/time cause a password screen in-game. Glad you figured it out. Will have to take note of this.
