Good recliner/loveseat?
« on: August 07, 2019, 11:38:31 pm »
Seems any furniture under a thousand or even two-thousand dollars uses thin, cheap padding. What happened to those cool Barcaloungers that supported you, lasted a while, and had a table and stuff that would fold out of the side panels? The storage bits I can do without, but I need something supportive, that I can sit upright in - and that isn't leather.

I don't know what to tell you.  Been looking for a new couch for a while now.... even the pricier ones seem kind of cheaply made.

FlexSteel has a lifetime warranty on their cushions, and they honor it.

That's just what we need around here more people sitting in recliners...flip a bucket over and take a break if you need, other than that get to work and just build something.

That is some sound advice.  Mike A I'm looking at you.

I know. It must be the disposable economy thing - because people are more massive than ever.

@jennifer: I don't make things. I think them up - and am waiting for the maker market to supply me the means of ordering them.

@WingsFan: this one looks about like what I have in mind - upright sitting, while the legs are bent yet suspended, power, the arms long and wide enough to comfortably mouse. But it's leather.....

Sometimes I think to myself that the non-name brand cornflakes are as good as the name branded cornflakes. But it turns out that the taste is slightly different and the non-name brand flakes soak up milk faster. It seems that way.  in the end I regret not buying the real Corflakes.
Same thing goes for Saran Wrap.

More cornstarch. Thicker plastic. Both are bad for your body. I'm looking forward to bio-plastics. I don't eat cereal. I must have man...I mean....animal flesh.

@jenn: I forget my dad has a nice chair I need to check out again.....
