UpdateSo originally I had decided to go with a 2.1 PC speaker setup, however I went cold on this idea and purchased some 5.25 drivers with an amplifier instead.
On the weekend I began working on the speaker panel.
I marked the area to be routed.
The end result.
Then chamfered the edge.
Saw dust from the chamfering.
I tackled mounting the Sanwa JLF joysitcks next.
I had to dismantle the joystick so that I could use the mounting plate as a template.
Using the router I cut out a square for the joystick to sit in to.
Next I needed to route out some of the control panel to allow the metal mounting plate to sit just below the surface.
The end result.
Hopefully now with 2mm Plexiglass on top of the control panel surface I should get the correct mounting height for a Sanwa JLF joystick.
