  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hi All

I have a Seimitsu LS-32 and a Zippyy.

I have heard that there are quiet microswitches that you can buy to replace the stock ones.

I hear they are Zippyy 20g leaf microswitches?

Possibly these ones here:

I think GGG sell smoothjoy switches as a joystick option but not  as a separate part.

Can anyone advise on if these are still available anywhere?

Welcome aboard, Drokkeh.   ;D

Send a PM to RandyT -- he's the owner of GGG and a regular here on the forums.

He may be willing to let you order a few sets "off menu".

I've been using the Zippy switches for my Seimitsu LS-58's and they are very quiet. They work with the LS-32 as well, but if you're using the stock round-gate you might need to get a thicker actuator (this is a true for most silent switch mods for Japanese joysticks anyway).

I picked mine up from Paradise arcade, but it looks like their out of stock right now.  http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/microswitches/239-seimitsu-ls-32-zippyy-joystick-upgrade-kit.html

You should be able to find these switches at other vendors as well since they're pretty common these days.

Just add a note in your order to add the levers, unlike some vendors, Randy will see that and make it so.

If you're ordering from Susan at Paradise, I would advise you to pick up a couple different actuators they carry. There are a few different thickness levels you can experiment with the switches you get.

Thanks opt2not.  I have ordered the 2 different size actuators so I can get a feel for what works best.

Thanks for all the advice.  Appreciated.
