Crazy taxi (Steam version) - Analog controls - new patch
« on: August 03, 2015, 10:29:50 am »
Hi everybody,

While waiting for the new release of OR2 from Howard, I was searching on the internet and I found this link

The guy post a patch to add analog controls to the Steam version of the game. From my knowledge all versions of Crazy Taxi on PC are horribles because of controls.

The guy post a lot of assembling lines (which I am not able to read to read :banghead:) for skilled people who can judged about the work he did. I scanned the file using https://virusscan.jotti.org/ before using it even if it is not an absolute protection

When I'll get few hours to make my cab up again, I plan to buy the game to play with my G25 wheel. Did somebody tried it already ?

Regards,

BadMouth

The version I have is for PC, but is a Dreamcast conversion.  The music files can be swapped out, so I have the original soundtrack swapped in.
Not sure if the Steam version is the same.
I played tons of hours using a Logitech MOMO and never had an issue with the controls.

I was drunk most of the time, but I still never had an issue with the controls.

Thank you Badmouth for answer. When I say horrible, I mean that I have to use pallets (around the wheel) to accelerate or break as pedals do not work with my PS3

For anyone having issues with the PC version:

Your trouble with the PS3 version might be related to the game expecting both gas and brake to be on one axis.
Of course on PS3 there's no way to fix that via software like on the PC.

Thanks for sharing! It'd be nice if someone could mod in other stuff removed like the KFC and Pizza Hut locations :D
