I know there are cabinets with projection screens that work natively with lightguns. Are there big screen tv's that operate the same way?  like an old rear projection screen maybe?  or better yet, a newer dlp-type tv?

If you want to use lightguns with any other TV, I would suggest Aimtrak from Ultimarc. It comes with a sensor bar similar to a Wii that tracks your gun's position. Makes setup a breeze

yeah trying to avoid that because I want to run from actual PCB's

some background

I just put together a 6 game lightgun switching cabinet with namco recoil guns - its freaking sweet, seriously, go make one yourself.

BUT, in the process, I bought some games that dont have a "calibration" option for the guns.  So the NAMCO guns wont aim correctly in a handful of my PCB's.

I've been buying new games to replace the PCB's that don't have calibration, but now I have a few games i'd like to play which has given me a reason to setup another lightgun "station" that uses HAPP 45's.  Ideally I'd like this to be a big screen / showcase configuration  So right now I'm interested in knowing if there are any old school style big screen tv's that would work well with an RGB input and a lightgun.
