Win 2000 and Mala frustrations...HELP
« on: January 22, 2013, 11:01:47 am »
Hello, just to start off-I love Mala, and I did a lot of search engine homework (but now I am losing sleep).

I am trying to get Mala running on an older Win 2000 version using a vertical orientation.  I am still getting the wmvcore.dll error.  Below are the steps I took that did not solve the problem.

1.  Installed Mala 1.74 and also tried beta 1.745
2.  Installed Service Pack 4
3.  Tried to uninstall and re-install Windows Media Player which is at 6.4 something
4.  Tried to update Windows Media Player and no updates were available.

Any suggestions so that I can get my life back?

Mala gets past the error and runs fine, but it always stops to tell you about the error.
I like running Mala because it will start with a game and then go to a game menu if needed.

Thanks for your help or any more suggestions,
-SP

Since I love Mala, and I really don't need any fancy videos when running on Win 2000, I went to version 1.05a of Mala and this seems to be the only fix for me.  It would be nice to know by version what some of the more critical updates are.  But, all in all, I have always been pleased with Mala.

Thanks for looking and I hope someone searches out this post to fix their problems someday  ;)
