I am not able to recreate this problem.

Are you able to post the mala.exe.log ?

This will tell me a lot

Ideally, I want the log in debug mode in the seconds leading up to it to find out Why a bad value was passed.

I will try and work it out...

I am not seeing that error since you enabled 'debug' logging.

I need you to recreate the scenario that created that error please and post that log.

I did it during that session. Just did it again & the error came up, but it's, again, not in the log.

Questions:

1) When you say that 'error came up' what form exactly? Can you post a screen shot?

2) What the error occurs what are you doing with MaLa at that time? Is it at the same type of spot consistently?

I have attached a screenshot. It comes up whenever I try to create a game list for any emulator other than MAME.

Ahhhh..

That error is from the Editor rather than MaLa

Mystery solved, as the Editor is Launched from MaLa in that Scenario but is a seperate .exe. Hance Nothing In the Logs.

I will let you know if I need more info

Any of the game list files I try to make for anything outside MAME do not save. They end up just being a blank list.

I am perplexed how and what is happening?

I am just guessing here now and my time is limited

so....

Best Guess is a config file has got into a weird state.

I suggest you do either or both of the following.

1) Setup MaLa again from scratch in a separate folder and see if the problem follows?

2) Zip up and send me (or a link to download) the contents of you MaLa folder that is giving you issues

I reinstalled MALA & it seems to be ok now, but I haven't touched it much since.

Try taking a sample of mp3's and removing the punctuation from them.... (worked for me)

Yeah it seems to get upset if there are special characters in the song name.

I will look at this when I get time
