Help needed with Nintendo Serial Plate
« on: March 14, 2010, 08:20:00 am »
Hi
I live in the UK so official Nintendo cabinets are a rarity here, let alone parts...  :banghead:

I would assume the best place to ask was the US as there are alot more machines over there.. so if you can help please do.

I need an official nintendo serial plate. The option of buying one is rare due to people wanting to keep there authenticity of there machines.
I an make a reproduction of it, but I need some measurements.  :dunno

Is anyone able to photograph the plate and help with measurements.

Any help appreciated...  :applaud:

I can help with some pics later today or tonight.  A member was extremely kind to send me one since my DK was missing one too.  It just got here Friday and I haven't installed it yet so I can take some pictures and dimensions pretty easily.

1 29/32" x 4"

Sorry this picture is not the greatest, the one on top is DK JR and the one on bottom is for a Multi-Game System.

There is a picture on This restore page.

Hmmm.. here are some more pics but I really don't have anything to add other than what mr_doles posted (although mine measured at 4" x 1-7/8" but close enough).  It is impossible to get a good pic of this thing.

I think this is originally from a Popeye based on the model number.

I have a genuine Donkey Kong Junior Nintendo cabinet I dont need the serial plate.  Any trade?  What are you looking for exactly?

Have it shipped to someone in the US and then they can send it to you. I've done that for someone on here before with a joystick. As long as you pay for the item and all the related shipping costs it isn't a big deal to do. Just fill out a customs form and mail it.

Um not to sound like a smart ass but 1 inch = 25.4 millimeters, just apply a little basic math (25.4 * 4 = 101.6).

Instead of taking pictures, someone should scan it.

And if you take pictures, do it in daylight with a short tele-lens. Not with a wide-angle (distortion) and flash.

Because to have things redrawn here and factory cut they have to be in MM.. you can convert from inches to mm but sometimes all the percentages of a inch can loose mm...

scan would be great and as there are a few different badges I would like to get logged.
