All drives are verified good with Chkdsk, wiped, and then freshly formatted NTFS.

Looks like I'm asking too much!

How about $35 each for the 80GB drives, and $50 for the 160GB?

can SATA and IDE be used in the same PC?
I have never used SATA
I hear SATA is MUCH faster. can you confirm this?
I might just but these off you.

I need to check my MOBO's and make sure I have a SAST port.

Sure - depending on the age of the mobo, it might have both interfaces. If it's only IDE, then just install a card. You'd need something like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815102102&cm_re=sata_interface_card-_-15-102-102-_-Product

I think I have one lying around. If you need one I will throw it in for $10 extra - however, let me know if you want to pull the trigger and I'll locate and test it first...

A bit off topic, but is there such a thing as a generic PCI riser card? I'm using a mobo with only 1 PCI slot, and would like to expand to maybe 3.
Man, will my cab EVER be finished?

I've seen them, but usually they are for servers, and go for crazy money; I had to use a 7 slot one once, I believe it cost around $1,000!!!

There must be a home version out there that is more affordable, but I've never seen one.

*Maybe* this would work?
